History of Solar Energy Development
It is recorded that human beings have used solar energy for more than 3000 years. The use of solar energy as an energy source and power has only a history of more than 300 years. The real solar energy as a "near-term urgent need to supplement energy", "the basis of the future energy structure", it is a matter of recent years. Since the 1970 s, solar energy technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, and the use of solar energy has changed with each passing day. The history of modern solar energy utilization can be counted from 1615 when French engineer Solomon de Cox invented a solar powered engine in the world. The invention is a machine that uses solar energy to heat air to expand it to do work and pump water.
Between 1615 and 1900, the world has developed into a number of solar power devices and some other solar devices. Almost all of these power devices use concentrated sunlight, the engine power is not large, the working fluid is mainly water vapor, the price is expensive, the practical value is not big, most of the solar energy enthusiasts personal research and manufacturing. In the 100 years of the 20th century, the history of the development of solar energy technology can be divided into seven stages.
